Annuar graduated from Universiti of Malaysia Sabah (UMS) in 2008 and holds a degree in biotechnology degree. Since then he has been joining several organizations in scientific research and conservation works. In June 2020 started his career with Rhino and Forest Fund as a field manager for the Sabah Forest Restoration Project. After seeing many conservation areas such as Kinabalu Park, Maliau Basin, Danum Valley, Imbak Canyon and others, he thinks that Sabah has a lot more forest that should be protected and preserved.
